This powerful story is about Jake and his sister, Shoshona, foster children who travel four times a year in a state provided bus to visit their mom in prison in up-state New York. Jake would love to be like his comic character, Jakeman, who he has created to fix his problems. Issues: foster care, prison life, adult pre-conceived ideas, treatment of inmates, children's fears and experiences dealing with difficult emotional issues.
